17.9.2007. Belgrade media reported about setting the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Blok 70, at the end of Gandhi's Street in Belgrade.
This statue actually doesn't represent Mahatma Gandhi. It represents famous British actor Ben Kingsley, and it is set as a sign of gratitude for his role in "Gandhi", but also in other movies: "Silas Marner", "Schindler's List", "Bugsy", and "House of Sand and Fog".
Our experts Lekić, Hrizentić, and Miljković, have recently discovered that Mahatma Gandi was actually a virtual person. Indeed, the real leader of Indian non-violent revolution was Ben Kingsley himself. Even his murder in 1948, only five years after he was born, didn't stop him from playing all his significant roles.
