Beside experience with web animation, I have solid knowledge of few classic animation techniques, and I found it useful in my web animation work more than once. Here are few videos I made since 2005
Here is classic stop-frame animation example. Bike rider was recorded frame by frame in
various environments. Many people asked me how I chopped those vegetables with one hand.
Slow record rate technique example. I asked the couple to move as slow as possible, recorded
them as series of consecutive photos, along with people normally passing by, then dubbed everything at 12 fps
Mixture of stop frame and live recording. Note how the level of juice in glasses is synced
with that bass line.
Selective colour processing on live recording. It appeared a good idea to use Kdenlive's selective color feature to paint Sava's guitar in blue. Normally it is used for blue-screen.
PHP-generated video example. A PHP script was used to generate series of static images
with these letters dancing, and these images were used as a video stream
Another PHP-generated video example, with different looping, different rhythm and some additional geometry and typography, since the words are about school.
Flash animation overlay on live recording. Note how the colored falling notes are synced
with the second guitar line.
