a tapistry artist from Belgrade
When you hear about tapistry, embroidery, knitting and other skills of that kind, you first think about the time when girls were exercising it to get married. Well, it's not like that anymore. Now, avantguarde artists do it.

Punkt had an installation that softens side-effects of leaving. It is consisted of orange things and old postcards, "Little things that mean life".
We Would Like to Present, ART MUSEUM of TOGLIATTI 2007
September 2005. These are photos of a work I made at Northern Fiber 6
Biennial workshop, from July 30th to August 7th on Tuusula lake, Finland.
After that, works were exhibited in an art museum in Kerava (15 minutes away
from Helsinki). Subject of the workshop was "(wo)man & tecnology", and my
work was related to Internet and it's place in contemporary man's life. People
rarely use postal adresses now, e-mail addresses are in common use. Instead
of initials on handkerchiefs (which can "accidentally" be dropped in front
of person to whom the information is given) i made embroideries of e-mail
addresses. These days people write to each other and often they even meet
each other over Internet.

Nena Skoko. Terribly stubborn, she was at FPU for short time
and she brought a group of students with herself, continuing her work in
spaces like:
- LUM (Lavatorium of artist thoughts) 1995.
- Punctum for artist experiment 2000.
- RERNA 2002.
She is intensively trying to forget what she learned at FPU, Belgrade. She thinks about space and physics. What she does is related to what she feels.
Thinking about space brings her to Land art. She is understanding that kind of events as art-turism and she enjoys it. In her works, she tries to underline what nature shapes by itself. she spreads white canvases in park on Isle of Ada, Belgrade. Depending on sun position, shadows of surrouning trees create shapes on canvas.
Tuskar, Denmark - she places webs along the shore, and wind brings seagulls
feathers across them.
She holds a canvas and wind is rolling it around her figure.

Short stories often happen to be a part of a concept.
Estonia and Russia - she spills melted wax into the water around a castle,
water shapes it into a dish-like forms. then she and other people break them.
Statistic data about clothing of one Serbian and one American girl
New York, "Dou Donne" gallery, 1999, an exhibition of hand-made paper
"Ants" minijature on an exhibition in Anze, France, called "A line between
order and chaos".
Experience of hand-made paper brings her to animation and Low -fi videos.
Later they become parts of installations and performances. Animation "Everything
ceased, only kids grow" is developing Serbian children poems that mention
violence.
She is annoyed by contemporary art scene in Serbia, and she is showing it in public acts:
- Taking off her panties in front of Mrs. Minister's nose
- Deconstruction
- Destiny of textile art - a cup of coffee
